Talia Leilani is an El Paso native with an extensive background in the performing arts. She was classically trained by Andree Harper and the legendary Ingeborg Heuser. In addition to being a Juilliard School of Dance callback in high school, Talia chose purse her interest in Theatre Arts. She discovered a new love for the stage. Subsequently, this led her to accept a scholarship to Santa Fe University of Art and Design, majoring in Theatre Performance and minoring in Film.
After graduating she moved to Los Angeles where she lived, worked, and continued to study in the Noho Arts District at The Sanford Meisner Center.
She has been in dozens of stage productions with notable roles including: Abigail in The Crucible, Lil’Bit in How I Learned to Drive, Clare in Proof, Hunyak in Chicago, Nurse Plimpton in Mindgame, Esperanza in House on Mango Street, Mona in Come Back to the Five and Dime, Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean, Isabel in Tia de Carlos, and Titania in Shakespeare’s favorite A Mid Summer Night’s Dream.
TL’s artistic curiosity found itself evolving towards a musical journey. *Talia Leilani Music* is a project where she writes and composes original songs that intend to explore and express the complexities of the human condition and spiritual warfare.
TL, has performed her original music all around the city and various venues including: The Trolley Track Music Series, PBS’s Sound on Tap, El Paso Classic Film Festival, Cool Canyon Nights, 306 Sessions, The Garrison, Oxygen Healing Bar, Whole Foods, Local Farmer’s Markets, Sunland Parkland Mall and various art shows. TL was call back for the popular show Tengo Talento where she performed her song “Tu Vanidad.” She continues to release music and work as a Fine Arts educator for YISD.
